Thursday in Honduras - Second Brigade

This morning we returned to the church where we attended Sunday service. As always, we were greeted with a long line anticipating our arrival. The church members quickly grabbed our supplies and helped organize our day. A generous member of the church allowed us to use her small home to provide the children's ministry to 125. Washing the children's hair proved quite challenging today as we straddled a concrete ditch. Since we received our luggage, we were able to give out baseball caps to the boys, in addition to, the hair pretties for the girls. On several occasions we had to remove the children from their plastic chairs to allow the trucks to continue down the street. It was an extremely hot day today. Those of us working outside felt as though we had taken a dip in the river. We treated over 250 in medical and 244 in optical. Upon returning to the mission house, many of us treated ourselves to chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake, yes before dinner! It was another great day!
